Mr. Jerry Wade Foskey, age 64, of Douglas, Ga. passed away Monday Evening, August 10, 2009, at his residence in Coffee County following an extended illness. Mr. Foskey, a native of Douglas and Coffee County, was an Auto Mechanic. He was the son of the late William Harrison “Bee” Foskey and the late Juanita Ricketson Foskey. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Survivors include Children: Jeffrey, Tammie, Carrie, and Jeremy.2 Sisters: Connie Grantham, and Wanda Howard, both of Douglas, Ga. 1 Brother: Billy Foskey of Douglas, Ga. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives. Graveside Services and Interment were held Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 11:00 A. M., at the Broxton City Cemetery, with Rev. Glynn Taylor officiating. Active Pallbearers were: Gene Taylor, Kalan Grantham, Jonathan Foskey, Sean Morris, Solomon Foskey, Steve Foskey, and Lane Foskey. Special Musical Selections, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, and “It Is Well”, were rendered by Judy Foskey, Mendy Rentz, with Jonathan Foskey, the Guitarist.
