Mr. Timothy L. Phillips, age 42 of Willacoochee, Georgia, formerly of Douglas, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the Bacon County Hospital, in Alma, following a brief illness. Mr. Phillips, a native of Jesup, Georgia, had worked for Wal-Mart, Inc. in the Shipping Department, in Monroe, Georgia, at the Distribution center. He was the son of the late Luke Phillips and the late Mary Bonnie Black Phillips. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joshua Lawton Phillips. Survivors include: His Wife: Lisa Ann Taylor Phillips of Willacoochee, Georgia; Daughter: Megan Phillips of Willacoochee, Georgia; Brothers: Allen Phillips of Douglas, Georgia; Dewayne Phillips of Newnan, Georgia and Jeremy Horton of Douglas, Georgia; Sisters: Linda Dykes of Winder, Georgia, and Becky Lawrence of Willacoochee, Georgia; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 12:00 Noon. at Harden’s Chapel Methodist Church in Toombs County with Reverend Charles Smith officiating. The Interment followed in the Harden’s Chapel Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Billy Smith, Dennis Foskey, Buddy Kersey, Bo Davis, Darrell Dykes, and Lee Burkett.
