Mrs. Agnes Louise Ramer Whiddon, age 96, of Broxton passed away Tuesday evening, March 16, 2010, at the Shady Acres Health & Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. Mrs. Whiddon, a native of Westville, Florida, had lived in the Broxton area for many years. She was the daughter of the late Jim Ramer and the late Martha Jane Peterson Ramer, and the wife of the late Rev. William D. Whiddon, Sr. Mrs. Whiddon was a member of the Reedy Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Mary (Frank) Veazey, Jr. of Broxton, Ga., and Faye Green of Brunswick, Ga. 2 Sons: W. D. Whiddon, Jr., and James Whiddon, both of Broxton, Ga. 10 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Friday, March 19, 2010, at 11:00 A. M., at the Reedy Branch Baptist Church, with Rev. Den Weniger and Rev. Randall LaRoche officiating. The Interment followed in the Reedy Branch Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were: Frank Veazey, III, Bryan Veazey, Jr., Bryan Veazey, Sr., Allan Keith Guess, Sr., William D. Whiddon, III, Joseph Paul Guess, Allan Keith Guess, Jr., and Daniel Lamar Corbitt, Jr. Special Musical Selections, “Jesus Hold My Hand”, “Farther Along”, “I’ll Fly Away” were rendered by Higher Praise, with Rev. Den Weniger, at the Keyboard, and “She Loved” was presented by CD Taped Music. “Pre-Lude” and “Post-Lude” soft hymns were presented by the Pianist, Evelyn Weniger.
