Mr. John Wade Carver, age 63, of Willacoochee passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. Mr. Carver, a native of Atkinson County, was employed by Willacoochee Fabrics as a member of the Maintenance team. He was the son of the late Marion Carver and the late Gladys Sutton Carver. Mr. Carver attended the Willacoochee Church of God. Survivors include: His Wife: Linda Kay Smith Carver of Willacoochee, Ga. 2 Daughters: Racquell and husband, Cory Thurman of Broxton,Ga.; Kayla and husband, Alvin “Warren” King of Douglas, Ga. 1 Brother: Monroe and wife Jeannie Carver of Douglas, Ga. 4 Sisters: Sally Allen of Leesburg, Ga.; Velma Harbuck of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; Linda Kunkle and Anita Watson, both of Macon, Ga. 3 Grandchildren: Gracey King and Alyssa King, both of Douglas, Ga. and Cody Thurman of Broxton, Ga. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives. Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 20, 2010 at 3:30 P. M., at the Willacoochee Church of God, with Rev. Jeremy DeLoach and Rev. Levi Jones officiating. The Interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ronald Carver, Sean Smith, Brandon Rish, Nathan Tarver, Richard DuPree, Scott Graham, Robert Bailey, and James Carter. Honorary Pallbearers were Hilton Purvis, Jackie Clanton, Ronnie Moore, and Ottis Luke. Special Musical Selections, “I’ll Go To My Grave Loving You”, “Crying For You”, “Love Me” and “Temporary Home” were rendered by taped CD’s, and “I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven” was rendered by Jessica Benefield and Crystal Sirmans, with Taped CD Music.
